What we Believe...

There is one GOD, creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

JESUS CHRIST is fully God and fully man.  He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary.  He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures.  He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of God, He is now our High Priest.  He will come again to establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace.

The promise of the HOLY SPIRIT to convict, indwell, teach, empower and transform, is for all people who put their faith in Christ.  The gifts of the Spirit are available for all for the purpose of ministry in the name of Jesus.  The power of God through His Holy Spirit is present today for healing of every kind.

HUMANITY was created in the image of God but has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God resulting in both spiritual and physical death.

SALVATION is a result of God's sovereignty and His grace.  Grace is the undeserved, unmerited and loving action of God in human existence through the ever-present Holy Spirit.  Salvation comes only from a confession of one's individual sin and a profession of one's faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  Through faith in Jesus Christ all people can be forgiven, reconciled to God and transformed as people of the new covenant.  Faith is the only response essential for salvation.  Salvation evidences itself in good works.

The NEW BIRTH is the first step in the process of sanctification.  Sanctifying grace draws us toward the gift of Christian perfection.

The SCRIPTURES, both the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, infallible Word of God.  They are the final authority in all matters that pertain to Christian faith and life.

JESUS CHRIST IS THE LORD AND HEAD OF THE CHURCH and the reign of God is both a present and future reality.

The LOCAL CHURCH is a body of believers in Christ, as defined by the Word of God, who are joined together for the worship of God and for instruction, prayer and fellowship.  The church is to observe the Lord's Supper and water Baptism as sacraments.  They are not to be regarded as a means of salvation.

GOD HAS CALLED THE CHURCH to reach out to a lost and dying world with the healing love of Jesus, and He has called us to spread scriptural holiness over the land by putting faith and love into practice.

PERSONAL SALVATION ALWAYS INVOLVES CHRISTIAN MISSION and service to the world.  The love of God is always linked with love of neighbor and passion for justice and renewal in the world.

There is a BODILY RESURRECTION of the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment.
